Last Minute Session Bliss
I met this beautiful couple on the same day I was contacted to book their session. Raychel reached out to me through email and messenger in a panic as her plans were not quite coming together as she'd hoped; hey life happens right? She explained what she was looking for and I immediately thought "heck yes! I can move around a few things in my day". We set a time and on my way I went to their gorgeous home right on the out skirts of Salt Springs Florida. Manny and Raychel were so welcoming and warm as we began their session. We laughed, joked around and just really got to know each other in that hour. I have named this session "Love Nest" simply because it truly was a beautiful place of love and marriage. I see a long life of happiness in their future. Raychel told me she just wanted a cozy session in their home that they love so much; and that is exactly what we created.
The love story
I was out with the boys having a good time until I saw a friend that I had known for some time, I called her over to me and she quickly introduced me to my future wife. I was stunned at how pretty she was but like a fool all I did was introduce myself without asking her to dance, get her a drink, just nothing. As I was kicking myself myself for a whole week I didn't think I would ever see her again. It just so happened that I went to the same bar and luckily there she was. We locked eyes and kept smiling at one another however, it wasn't until someone else asked her to dance and I walked up and asked the poor guy what he was doing talking to my girlfriend. We danced and the rest was history.
I love everything about Raychel, she pushes me to be a better man EVERY single day and I wouldn't want it any other way. She truly saved me, her expectations for us are very high and I always have something to live up to. She is compassionate when you need her to be and honestly I couldn't dream of a better version of a wife. I would lay my life down for her in a heartbeat.
When trying to find our home we knew that we wanted to be on the water. Ironically we live on the river that we both grew up on, but finding a house wasn't the easiest because we have four pups that needed room to play and we had pretty big toys to store. Chasing the water was even tougher because we had to find land as well. Raychel sent me a picture of the home we live in today and I told her it didn't look good. She dragged me out to look at it and the moment I walked in we had to have it, I wouldn't trade my life with her for the whole world.
Manny and I met 5 years ago out in Gainesville Florida at :08 on the dance floor. He was a wild hot headed boy looking for trouble and I was a good girl looking for a good time. He walked in the bar and with my best friend as my witness I looked at him and looked at her jokingly saying I just found my husband! Literally laughing out loud. We didn't know it but we had a mutual friend there and he begged her to tell him who I was. He finally asked me to dance on last call and tried to kiss me but I wouldn't let him after I assumed he was trying to get me home. We left without even exchanging names that night. The next three weeks he tried and tried to talk to me and asked what he did wrong, my response: "you tried to get me to go home with you! I am not that kind of girl!" which of course he denied and pleaded that he just didn't want that night to end. He then asked what he could do? and offered a lunch date; hey he was hot! The rest is history.
I love that Manny is such a hard shell to the rest of the world but in my arms he melts. So many walls are torn down when it's just him and I... it's so raw and vulnerable. He is the hardest worker I know. I love how his face lights up when I walk into a room.He acts as if I am the only woman he sees... Always! I love watching his faith grow. Seeing this "baby Christian" everything God does fascinates him; all the questions and thoughts he has about the relationship he's creating with God... constantly feeling the presence of God in everything he does.
Never in a million years did I think we would live in a Forrest. We were chasing that river view. We began our hunt as far north at the mouth of the St. Johns river in Jacksonville. This house.. the property.. was THE ONE! Everyday I wake up obsessed with our home. We can not wait to eventually raise a family here. But for now, we are enjoying our pups, and all of the adventures ahead.
